The following sales agreement is made and entered into by and between:

For a dog from a breeding event between the following “Sire” and “Dam” resulting in a litter whelped/born on 4 December, 2022.

This sale will be for the sum of $_____ as the purchase price for a limited registration non-breeding (“Pet”) dog and requires agreement to the terms and conditions listed below.

Seller’s obligations:

1. The dog, at the time of sale, will be in good health and have a sound temperament.  Every effort will have been made to properly socialize the dog and to ensure it has been exposed to as many experiences as possible. 

2. Both Sire and Dam had current hip, eye, elbow and heart clearances at the time of breeding.  These clearances mean that the Seller has done everything possible to ensure the Buyer receives a healthy dog.  Seller does not guarantee that the dog may not develop one of more of the above health issues. 

Buyer’s obligations:

1. The dog shall be examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of delivery of the dog to the buyer. If the veterinarian determines the dog to be ill or unsound, the buyer may return the puppy for a full refund, provided the dog is in the same condition as at the time of delivery by the seller. If the dog is returned for the above reason the buyer shall provide a written statement from the veterinarian. This includes death or illness from any health condition present prior to removal from the seller's property. The refund is limited to the purchase price of the dog. Said refund does not include any veterinary, transport, or other expenses incurred by the buyer.

2. Buyer agrees and binds himself/herself to take good and reasonable care of the dog to provide housing, food, water, health care and affection throughout its lifetime. The dog will not be neglected nor mistreated in any manner.

3. Buyer will provide adequate and proper veterinary care throughout the dog’s lifetime and all vaccinations will be maintained to ensure preventative health care.

4. If the dog should develop a serious health problem the buyer will furnish the seller with a veterinarian's statement on the condition of the dog before making a final decision to euthanize it. In the event of an accident or an emergency situation where the animal is suffering, the veterinarian's statement may be provided after the fact.

5. If it becomes necessary for any reason for the buyer to sell or dispose of the dog, he/she agrees to give the seller first opportunity to receive the dog back. Buyer has read and understood _________ (initial)

6. The dog shall not be used for the purpose of vivisection and shall not be sold to or by any wholesale establishment, chain store, catalogue house, pet store, broker or "puppy mill."

7. The buyer shall make all reasonable attempts to notify the seller of any and all address changes made by the buyer.

8. The buyer agrees to notify the seller of any titles, AKC or otherwise, earned by the dog.

9. All pet quality dogs will be sold on LIMITED REGISTRATION ONLY.

A) Buyer agrees not to breed this dog

B) Buyer will have dog spayed/neutered no earlier than 18 mo of age

C) Buyer will provide proof of spay/neuter to seller _________(initial)

10. I agree as the buyer to care for this dog to the best of my ability. The dog at no time will be tied outside or mistreated in any way or at any time.

11. Buyer agrees to return said dog to seller if any portion or part of this agreement is breeched by the buyer. Buyer shall receive no compensation for the return of the dog to the seller.

12. If a deposit and/or payment is received and the seller can not provide a puppy, all monies received will be refunded. If the buyer chooses to back out of buying the puppy, the buyer forfeits all monies paid.

13. In the event of a dispute arising regarding the terms of this Agreement, Buyer agrees to jurisdiction of the dispute within the Superior Court of California, County of Alameda.


The buyer has read and understands the foregoing and agrees that parts and portions thereof constitute a binding agreement. This contract constitutes the entire agreement of the parties hereto with respect to the sale of the above-mentioned dog. Changes to this agreement may be made only if buyer and seller agree to amendment in writing.
